What is your story…
A Whole-Person Approach to Healing
At the center of my practice is a deep belief in the healing potential of the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Sexual and psychological wellbeing are foundational to this process, but they are just part of the picture. True healing happens when we begin to see ourselves as a whole system: our thoughts, emotions, bodies, relationships, identities, habits, and stories all intertwined.
Too often, we put our needs on the back burner—especially when caring for others or trying to meet societal expectations. We may feel disconnected from our bodies, uncertain about our desires, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve us. Therapy is a place to pause and tune in. It’s where we begin to untangle the knots, reconnect with our inner wisdom, and rediscover the parts of ourselves we’ve had to quiet.
In our work together, we’ll explore not just your mental and emotional life, but how physical health, nutrition, movement, rest, and pleasure all contribute to your wellbeing. I honor that healing looks different for everyone. That’s why I draw not only from traditional talk therapy but also integrate supportive resources—whether that’s collaborating with other wellness professionals, exploring how nutrition impacts mood, or inviting gentle, body-based practices into the work.
Together, we’ll uncover your strengths, identify what’s getting in the way of your growth, and help you write a narrative that feels more honest and empowering.
We’ll also look at how systems—family, culture, gender, sexuality, race, ability—have shaped your experience, and how to reclaim your story in a way that supports your values and joy. You deserve a space to feel heard, held, challenged, and affirmed.
Areas of focus in my practice include:
Sexual and psychological wellness
Anxiety and depression
General life dissatisfaction, identity work, and transition periods
My therapeutic approach is integrative and collaborative. We’ll co-create your path using a foundation of Narrative Therapy, Feminist Family Therapy, and Solution-Focused work—while staying open to the wisdom of the body, the impact of nourishment, and the importance of rest, boundaries, and joy. This is flexible, affirming, real-life therapy for real people.
All are welcome here.
Come as you are—messy, curious, burned out, grieving, hopeful, stuck, growing. This is your space, your process, your opportunity to feel whole again.
Meet Heather.
I have dedicated my academic career to understanding the complexities of the human experience including the sexual side of humanity. The pandemic has created a seemingly never-ending void of social, emotional, psychological and sexual issues. Many have come to the conclusion of “this is my life now” feeling too stuck to pursue change. We have all felt stuck and we all deserve to feel supported, to feel heard, and to have a safe and neutral space to be angry, sad, happy, and honest. As humans we sometimes start out on a path that leads us to another destination altogether. We realize that the problem is not the problem at all. As we untangle the web of our lives we start to see ourselves more clearly and understand our experiences more authentically. This is your process; I am here to support and aid you in your process to understanding your uniquely human experiences. We all deserve to experience the pleasures life has to offer.
